Today, 6 October 2026, the theatre course promoted by the Arabic Cultural Institute gets under way, a 20-hour programme that will run until 15 December 2026.

The course will be led by Tunisian instructor Bassem Hamama, who will guide participants through a journey of voice, body, listening and imagination. At its heart will be the Arabic language and its learning: theatre becomes a living tool for getting closer to the sounds, rhythm and expressions of Arabic, learning it through practice and not only from books. Theatre has long been one of the most vibrant languages of Arab culture: a place to tell stories, to debate and to build connections between different narratives and sensibilities. Through exercises, improvisation and group work, the course will offer a space for discovery and exchange, open both to those approaching the stage for the first time and to those wishing to deepen their experience. It is an opportunity to express oneself, to experiment and to experience intercultural dialogue not only through words, but first-hand, on stage.
